also the Co-Founder of Lucy’s Lights and the Chair of Trustees. This means that I
am overall responsible for the organisation and the way it is run, helping to guide
its direction and make sure everything reflects our values. I love it when new
members join the group, and watching our small community grow makes me
incredibly proud, especially seeing friendships form and people grow in confidence
over time. Lucy’s Lights means a lot to me, as it is a space where everyone can feel
safe, accepted, and celebrated for who they are, and I feel very passionate about
helping to create that environment. My special interest is Disney — you will often
see me wearing Disney-themed hoodies and T-shirts! I live at home with my dog,
her name is Disney and she’s a black Labrador. I absolutely love hearing about what
pets people have and seeing pictures of them. I really enjoy baking and doing arts
and crafts, and my favourite things to watch on TV are true crime documentaries
and Disney films (of course!). I am also a sensory seeker and love fidget toys, so I’m always very interested to see
what fidget or sensory items members bring along to events. I currently work at The Paddock on Mondays, Tuesdays,
and Fridays, where I work with their primary school groups and run their youth club. Alongside this, I work in
schools supporting children with complex needs, which has helped shape how I approach activities and events,
ensuring they are inclusive, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you
all better and learning more about you!

a year now and have since become a trustee and an activity supporter. This means
that I have a say in how Lucys lights is run and I help Millie to run activities and
support new members to feel comfortable and to make the most out of Lucys lights. I
often sit with new members and have a little bit of a chat if they are up for it and
generally make sure no one is on their own unless they want to be or need some
space. I also like to talk a little about what new members interests are so I can help
them get to know other members with similar interests. I personally love any form
of crafting, and I am particularly interested in crochet. I also love to read and love to
talk about whatever books or tv shows and films that people have read / watched
recently. My special interest is animal and cats in particular; I could talk about
animals and pets for hours and would love to see all your cute pet pics if you have
any. I currently volunteer at the paddocks and hope that with time and a bit more
experience that I might end up working there someday. The paddocks is a place where we help children build their
independence and receive an alternative education.

Lucy Lights. I have a background in both child and adult health and social care, which
has given me a deeper understanding of the diverse and wide-ranging needs of
individuals. This experience has helped shape my compassionate and person-centred
approach to care. I am a proud parent, and my daughter is my world. She motivates me
every day to grow and be the best version of myself. My current goal is to work with
children with complex needs, as I am passionate about making a meaningful and
positive impact in their lives. This supporter role truly reflects the care, empathy, and
dedication I bring to my work. I enjoy connecting with others and having conversations
on a wide range of topics. Hearing people’s stories and experiences is something I truly
value, as it helps me learn, grow, and broaden my understanding. I am always open for
a chat and genuinely enjoy listening, I look forward to hearing about your interests and
what you love. I also enjoy thinking outside the box, which helps me respond quickly
when needed while maintaining a fun, positive, and engaging approach. In my spare
time, I love spending quality time with my family and friends, creating special
memories with my daughter and our dog. We enjoy getting outdoors, especially muddy woodland walks and the
beach is one of our favourite places to go. I am really looking forward to working alongside the team here at Lucy
Lights and getting to know everyone better while learning more about you all.
